Augustine is a painter. He has been hand painting plates and bowls since he was a little boy. He is married to Silvia who is also a painter, and has one son and three daughters.

Happy-Hammock found Augustine whilst browsing around a market in Mexico.

This is Augustine’s son learning the trade. He wasn’t around for the family shot, but I managed to catch him hard at work at another time.

Signature
On the back of each product Augustine signs his name and then outs 5 stars around it. Each star represents a member of his family.

Product Designs
Currently we have selected specific designs from Augustine, concentrating on Chilli Peppers, and large Peppers for the bowls and including Sun Flowers and Lilly’s (traditional Mexican Flowers) on the trays.

 

In The Pipeline...
If the products are successful we would like to extend this range as there are many wonderful things he can paint. In particular we like the fish and fruit range which you can see examples of to the left.
