KNN Cambodia Arts & Crafts was established in 2004 with the discovery of an idea to develop job opportunities for Cambodian people and socially business motivated people.

KNN has made fair trade a commitment to helping social enterprises to develop their services and ensure the benefits for itself and its artisans.

KNN Cambodia uses the Fair Trade Guide when paying its artisans for their work and their products.

We visited a few of the families that do work for KNN. They usually work from home and many people share small spaces. They all seem happy to me and are wonderfully funny and hospitable people, often laughing at why we would want to visit and take pictures of them.

KNN Aims & Fair Trade
KNN aims to increase the employment for poor people in which KNN teaches workers in businesses the basics of Tailoring/Weaving skills. It provides the producers who spent time in the shop with a positive and profitable work experience, and builds the confidence and self-esteem of young generations through a positive and challenging study environment by using their skills in the KNN shop. In 2006 KNN became a member of the Fair Trade Guide which is a decision-support tool for calculating fair trade wages for local artisans.
